A Guided Renewal Program for Health & Vitality

Hosted by Dr. Matt Van Auken, MD, MPH, ABOIM, DipABLM, E-RYT, YACEP

Wellness that moves with you — season by season.

Your body is always healing itself — and now, you have the tools to help.

The Living Seasons Project is a physician-guided seasonal preventive health and wellness program rooted in ritucharya — the ancient Ayurvedic practice of aligning lifestyle with the natural cycles and rhythms of the year. Led by integrative physician Dr. Matt Van Auken, MD, this program brings you a practical, evidence-informed approach for preventive well-being and essential self-treatment.

Whether you're seeking:

  • Optimal metabolic health,

  • Hormonal balance,

  • Stronger immune function,

  • Steady nervous system health and vagus nerve tone,

  • Better sleep quality and restfulness,

  • Circadian health and cyclic care,

  • Or simply a method for disease and illness prevention,

The Living Seasons Project has something meaningful, helpful, and actionable for you.

In the Ayurvedic system, there are six (6) seasons, each lasting 2 months. For each of these seasons, you'll receive care tools, guides, recipes, meditations, and other resources to thrive and feel your best. You'll also get informed support during the critical transition period (sandhi) between each pair of seasons, as well as plenty of opportunities for community connection.

What You'll Experience

  • A Full Reset for Each Season: Metabolism, mental health, immune activity, you name it - with gentle, kind, safe, and effective cleanses, you'll access more of your body's innate resources to feel and function better.

  • Active Seasonal Guidance: During each seasonal transition and throughout the whole season, receive recommendations for daily living, LIVE virtual office hours, and hands-on support to help your system adapt with ease.

  • Physician-Led Education: Learn directly from Dr. Matt Van Auken — a triple board-certified integrative medicine and Ayurvedic physician — about the "why" behind seasonal living, fasting and flowing with the lunar cycle, and how to recognize early signs of imbalance before they become illness.

  • Practical Tools for Everyday Life: Seasonal shopping lists, internationally-inspired Ayurvedic recipes, self-care protocols, calendars with key dates, and more help you put the principles into practice without overwhelm.

  • Ongoing Support Between Seasons: Access robust pre-recorded educational content, guided live and recorded meditations, yoga nidra, Ayurvedic pressure point self-treatment tutorials, and more.

What Sets This program Apart

The Living Seasons Project is built on both classical, time-tested Ayurvedic principles, refined over thousands of years, and Dr. Matt's training in modern, evidence-based lifestyle medicine, integrative health, and preventive care.

The focus is on improving your lived sense of good health and quality of life. Together, we'll address health imbalances before they become disease, and you'll build resilience season after season.

This program is for you if:

  • You are interested in preventing illness and disease

  • You have health conditions that would benefit from lifestyle intervention and care (hint: that's basically all health conditions)

  • You're curious about Ayurveda, but want qualified physician-level guidance

  • You're looking for a friendly, effective self-care program that doesn't mistreat your body

  • You've tried detox programs and other cleanses, but want something more sustainable

  • You value community support and accountability

"I've tried a lot of wellness programs. Most of them made me feel like I was failing by week two. This one is different. The pace is sustainable, the information is genuinely useful, and I never felt like I had to overhaul my entire life to participate. I started with small shifts — tongue scraping, adjusting what I eat for the season, paying attention to the moon cycle — and those small things added up. My digestion is better. My sleep is better. I actually look forward to the transitions now instead of bracing for them. If you're skeptical of 'programs,' I get it. But this one is worth it."
